Curb Appeal
First, look at the outside of your house, or your curb appeal. Inspect the outside of your house from a street view. What jumps out at you? What unique characteristics seem hidden? Understanding this assists us in deciding what we can do to invite buyers from the street and into your house. If your home isn't pretty on the outside with touched up paint and blooming garden plants it's time to get those things done. Follow the Curb Appeal Checklist and raise your house's final selling price.

Welcome Home
Does your home seem to say, "Welcome Home" to a buyer? Looking through your home with a buyer's eye, I'll recommend adjustments that build up Open House appeal. I'll help you reduce the effect of anything that gives the appearance of clutter. Table and counter tops should be clutter-free. Knickknacks, souvenirs, family photos, and refrigerator drawings should get moved out of sight. We need to "generalize" the home so buyers can picture it as their new home.
I'll look over each room of your home. I'll point out the pieces of furniture that should be rearranged, rooms that need a fresh coat of paint, rugs needing to get changed, fixtures that could use shining, and any other improvement that can easily be made to positively impact the sale.
We'll ensure your home has mass appeal and that it's welcoming, avoiding "loud" or "can't-work-with" shades on the walls and furniture. And if you've already moved out, you can think about renting furnishings. You want your home to look homey as opposed to bare.
Setting the Stage At every showing, we want to capture buyers' attention. Brightness is important and we'll draw back curtains, and change light bulbs where needed to invite the buyer inside. We'll enhance the mood of the house with enjoyable music to listen to while guests look around your home and assure a pleasant aroma flows throughout your house. We'll make use of cozy-looking bedspreads, and place pillows on your loveseat and bedding. We want buyers to feel like your place is their future home. |
